Glass Banding Tape
Glass Banding Tape (also known as Armature Banding Tape, Resin glass Tape, Fiber Banding Tape) is
made from continuous filaments, high tensile electrical grade glass yarn, impregnated with
thermosetting polyester base resin. The yarns are laid parallel to form a thin flat ribbon
& utilizing maximum tensile strength of the glass to give an exceptional strength. After
application and curing the tape holds the body in radial compression. It is a High strength,
resin-impregnated, moisture resistant, fiber glass tape. It is widely used for banding of
Transformer Cores, Armature of electric motors, Rotor of Generators and other rotating machines.
